Parents as Teachers Advisory Board to Meet August 15

Ringgold County Parents as Teachers will be hosting our first Advisory Council meeting at Jamie’s Coffee Mill and Deli on August 15 at noon.  The volunteer advisory group is being established for our PAT affiliate to offer advice and counseling related to the operation of the organization and planning of events and activities.  Primary functions will include support for development and promotion of Parents as Teachers, help in identifying existing and potential funding sources, and to provide input into program planning and evaluation.  The council will meet a minimum of twice a year and as needed.  The volunteer group, comprised of former and current PAT participants and community members, will be learning about our local PAT program and reviewing surveys regarding education interests and parent satisfaction at the initial meeting.
