Ringgold County Public Health has received an initial delivery of COVID-19 vaccine. The Iowa Infectious Disease Advisory Council (IDAC) has identified the following health care groups that will be targeted with the initial vaccine allocations:
- Critical Care
- Radiology
- Emergency department
- Federally Qualified Health Center
- Infectious disease
- COVID-19 vaccinators of essential populations
- Hospitalists
- Staff/physicians of urgent care centers
- Primary Care
- Acute care clinic
- Anesthesia
- Clinical laboratory
- Emergency medical services
- Home health
- Phlebotomy
- Physical therapy
- Pharmacy
- Rehabilitation
- Medical Students
- Environmental services
- Volunteers
Every hospital and skilled nursing/assisted living facility will receive vaccine for their staff and residents. If you are employed by one of those facilities, check with your employer to schedule your vaccination. If you fall within any of the health care personnel descriptions listed above and are not employed by one of the facilities, please contact our office (641-464-0691) to set up an appointment.
When we receive vaccine that is available to other populations as defined by IDAC, the public will be notified and urged to make appointments at that time.
